AvK - generators, reliable in service on all continents

There is a wide variety of applications:

  • continuous power supply in isolated operation or running in parallel with the mains peak load
  • mains peak load operation in parallel with the mains emergency power supply for critical users, e.g. in power plants, industrial plants, hospitals, high-rise buildings
  • special applications such as:
    frequency converters, UPS-systems, and systems solutions meeting the highest demands in terms of design and/or electrical performance

The generators are suitable to be driven by:
Diesel and gas engines; gas, water and steam turbines; power-take-off (PTO) gearboxes; windmills.

Available outputs range from 150 kVA to 30 MVA, from low voltage up to 15 kV. Frequency conversion, e.g. 50:60 Hz 60:50 Hz.

Marine classification

Owing to the fact that coolant temperature is higher and the permissible temperature rise lower than according to the regulations pertaining to landbased operation, it is necessary to reduce the power or to increase the size of the alternator.

The adjacent table is applicable for permissible temperature rises with design and utilisation in accordance with temperature class F. Please provide us with details if types of enclosure are higher than IP 23 and additional requirements apply.
